Mr. William Duncan - tell us about how you got into modeling.

  I was channel surfing one day and stopped at a runway show clip and that was the beginning of a dream.

  How old were you when this happened?

  I was eighteen years old at the time.

  Tell me about your modeling career - where might we have seen you before?

  I appeared twice (April & Dec. 2005 issue) of Black Inches Magazine, Playgirl magazine (June 2005), walked in a Remixed Clothing runway show (12/05). I am in the upcoming premier issue of NYFZ Magazine, and walking in a Spring fashion show on March 29, 2008 and on April 26, 2008 and of course inside IREP Magazine.

  What was your first shoot like?

  I was so scared and nervous and the photog of course could tell and she tried to help make me comfortable.

  Who is your favorite photographer to work with?

  Yolanda Barnes of Flame Productions she is absolutely the best and the one who took all of my photos used in IREP and on both of my profiles on My Space and Model Mayhem (

  What was your first big break?

  When I walked in the Remix Clothing Runway show and Black Inches magazine ( I had 4 page spread and interview)

  What's it like living and growing up in North Carolina?

  It's like growing up in a rural area on the verge of becoming a city but not quite their yet.

  In high school were you considered the ugly duckling or were you always one of the cute guys?

  Ugly ugly duckling all the way (thank God for puberty)

  Has anyone ever told you that you couldn't be a model?  If yes - what did they say was the reason you wouldn't make it

  Yes I've been told I couldn't model because of my height (I've been turned down by Elite, IMG, Click, and Boss all the major agencies)

  When did you realize that they were full of shit?

  I just look at it like well the prettiest flowers all need manure and fertilizer to help them grow and what is manure but shit so pile it on.

  Tell us about a time when you felt like giving up on modeling?

  I haven't felt like giving up I keep those rejection letters and e-mails and read them daily to keep motivated and keep hungry.  I stay strong by knowing who I am and being strong and secure in myself - plus I have amazing friends and family.

  How far are you willing to go to be successful in the modeling industry?

  However far I have to go! Seriously I want this so bad I'd die without it so if I really had to sleep with someone or sign my soul over hey give me a condom and a pen to sign on the dotted line.

  You have a stylish and sexy portfolio covering lots of different locations.  Of all the cities you've visited for shoots, which one was your favorite and why?

  Fayetteville, NC because it offers rural and urban scenery in one city.

Where are some of the places you've traveled that you would not want go to again and why?

  I have some shots I took in a real swamp and I went too far in and luckily a snake that was near me was more afraid of me then me of it and swam off!

  Have you ever posed nude?  If not - would you ever consider it?  Why or why not?

Yes I have and I'd gladly do it again. Posing nude is liberating and a great thing it gives you a natural high.

  Tell us what it was like.  Did you enjoy it?  Are you looking forward to doing it again?  Where can we check out your nude photos?

  I had a good experience posing nude because I try and take care of my body and stay in shape so I'm not embarrassed. It was a good experience since the person taking the shots was also who I was involved with at the time. You can see the shots in the Dec. issue of Black Inches Magazine (they have a website e-mail them and say you want to see more of me) and also in Play Girl Magazine (June 2005 issue).

  If you had $10,000 to buy only clothes at just 3 stores, and you had only one day to do it, what are the names of 3 stores, where are they located, and what you would buy?

  Gap and Old Navy because I am in a prep phase right now and am trying to mix urban and prep together in my wardrobe right now.  They both are located in my local mall.

  How do you feel about the stereotypes people have towards models?

  People who don't really know about fashion think you have to be tall, gorgeous, and blonde to be a model but you don't! Look at Daria, Agyness, and Lily Cole. 

  Do you sometimes feel stereotyped or treated negatively by women or other men because of your modeling? 

  I do by some people when they find out I  have posed nude it makes them think I'm easy.

  What is a normal day like for you?

  I go on castings, work, and go to college, sleep, and then repeat.

How often do you work out? 

  I say about twice a week and the other days I run 2 miles.

  What do you like to do for fun?  I've been told that you love things that are action-packed!!

 As I'm getting older I like now to read, watch reality tv, eat, and go to the movies.

Other than modeling, what other talents do you have?

Honestly I don't have any.

Tell us more about you - what would you like the world to know about you?

 I am a caring, big hearted, and loving person who is passionate about modeling and want to break barriers and stereotypes and  make male models just as big names as the female counterparts. I also want a successful career and to be the first openly out male model.

  Where do you work?  

  Top secret job and in retail

What is your ultimate goal for your modeling career?

  Like I said before I want to be the first openly gay Super Model that's male and I want to be able to Google my name and it comes up. I also, want to be able to look my name up on Wikipedia.com and have a national campaign.

If you could go anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would you go and why?

  Paris and Milan both fashion capitals.

What type of modeling do you enjoy the most (fashion photos, swimsuit, runway, sexy spreads, artistic layouts, theme shots, or other)

  I actually like editorial, print, catalog, and commercial shoots the best but I'll do runway if need be.

  What was your most embarrassing moment as a model?

  Posing nude in the woods and got bitten by mosquitoes everywhere I mean everywhere and when I went to work the next day I was itching in places one can't really or shouldn't scratch in public.

  Have you ever had any "drama" with other models during auditions or appearances?  If so - tell us about it?

  So far I haven't thank God!

  Has anyone ever asked you or tried to force you to do something crazy or wrong to land a modeling job?

  Again so far I haven't had anything but good luck on castings. Plus it helps that I take someone with me.

  What was you proudest moment as a model?

  Booking jobs even though I was told I couldn't be a model and all these top agencies turned me down.

What do you think is your best feature?

  My personality and my character.

  How does your family feel about your modeling career?

  They don't know about it just my cousins that are my age know.

  Who are your favorite famous models? What do you like about them?

  Jessica Stam she is beautiful and breath taking in pictures, Tyra banks because she is beautiful and has brains and had a plan for after modeling.

Do you think Tyra banks has advanced or hindered the model industry? Explain in detail.

  I think Tyra has helped add diversity to the industry because a lot of those top model girls are working models and without Tyra or her show they wouldn't have been signed or even looked at maybe by agents.

  What is the most important thing in your life right now?

  To be a top male model and keep booking jobs and get on any and every magazine cover I can and on any runway I can and be grateful for it all.

Are you married, single or in a relationship?

  I am in a relationship and this Memorial Day makes it 5 years we've been together.

  Tell us a little about that special person. 

They are the part of my heart and soul that's been missing for so long and now I am complete versus a complete mess like I was years before we met.

  Would you fight for your man or to get another man's man?

  I believe in Karma so I wouldn't do anything to someone I wouldn't want done back to me.

  On a scale of 1 to 10, how important is sex in a relationship?

  Being honest I'd say a seven.

What is the sexiest thing about men?

  Can I say that on here? I thought it was a family magazine but it has five letters!  PENIS!!!

What is the sexiest thing about women?

  They give life and can create it and are strong and determined creatures.

What's the best condom to use and why?

  Any condom that protects from STD's is fine with me!

  Love v/s passion what's your stance or are they the same thing?  

  If I love something/someone I can't live without it and passion is there being no limit to what I'd do to have that person or thing in my life.

  Tell us about the best sex you ever had!

  Any and every sex I've had after the age of 21.

  Sexually, do you prefer men, women, or both?

  I prefer men.

  If both - who's better in bed - men or women?  Tell us why!

  Never been to bed with a woman so I can only say I prefer men.

  It is said that guys don't mind if their partner is bisexual (Especially if they can share!).  Would you or have you ever date a bisexual man? Tell us more about it.

  No. I know it's bad to say but my biggest heartbreak to date has been by a bisexual man so I'm prejudice against bisexuals because of him.

  Since beauty is only skin deep, what best describes you as a person?

  Loving, fun, outgoing, selfless.

  Do you fall into the cliché - look good, but dumb as rocks.

  No I don't think being dumb as rocks would have allowed me to make it through two years of college I have under my belt or help me make it through my last two years I have left.

  Do you think other men are intimated by your good looks?  If so, why?

  No I hope not because I am so laid back and approachable and I think that shines from my inside out so I hope everyone feels safe to approach me (unless you're crazy).

 Do you live to eat or eat to live?

  I eat to live.

  There are some scary stories of the dark side of modeling do you have any?

  Fortunately not as of right now.

  I'm happy with being me and that took a lot of years.

  What is the ugliest thing that has happened to you? How did you handle it?

  I was physically abused as a child by my step father and sexually assaulted by another male in my early twenties. I got through it with counseling and my best friends by my side and lots of hope.

  If you were the last man on earth, what woman would you want with you to replenish the earth? Why her?

  Tyra Banks! I know there's a 50/50 chance of my children being beautiful, smart, and talented.

  Are you a playmaker or maker of plays?  Would you rather lead or be led.

  I like to lead but have enough common sense I can be lead if it's in my best interest but I definitely am a maker of plays. I believe in making things happen yourself/myself.

  How would you like to be remembered?

  As a male model of color that helped break down walls in the fashion industry and made contributions to society and gave more then I took.

  What projects are you currently working on?  What should our readers be on the lookout for?

  I will be in the premier April issue of NYFZ Magazine; I am working on modeling for DUV (SFX Int.) Clothing Line,  I am walking a March 29^th and April 26^th fashion show in NC. I'm working on some more things that are still being worked on so I'll definitely give an update so I can tell you what those things are when I know I can mention them.

  What advice would you give to the other models out there that are trying to make their dreams come true?

  Have good self esteem and study and know this industry and know there's no limit to what you cab do when you're your biggest fan and cheering squad.
