Crystal!! - tell us about how you got into modeling. I took some professional pics for fun and posted them on Myspace. Photographers just started offering me sessions! Where are you from? Where do you live now? I'm from North Carolina, but I live in Florida now right outside Fort Lauderdale Tell me about your modeling career - where might we have seen you before? I always thought I was decent, but I guess I have come a long way because I wasn't always so girly!
No. If anything people always told me that I should, especially when I was really thin. LOL! Tell us about a time when you felt like giving up on modeling? A certain well known modeling agent invited me to a meet and greet with their company. For some reason, things just didn't feel right. I don't know. It was hard to explain..... I felt like a black sheep - as I looked nothing like any of the other models there. I know every model should be unique, but it was kind of like being an apple in an orange basket....both fruits are good but they belong in different baskets. How did you get through that tough period? My boyfriend actually talked me out of it....... I actually feel sorry for him cuz he had to listen to me vent about it for hours! Do you fall into the cliché - look good, but dumb as rocks? LOL! No, I am actually very intelligent. I'm ex-military and I studied dental technology...not only that but I'm street smart. Kinda weird cuz at the same time I can be ditzy. Do you think men are intimated by your beauty? If so, why? No. I only come off intimidating when I want to...... I know myself well enough to turn my "diva" switch on and off at will. Besides, I still get the "psssst, hey red" when I go out! Why do men do that? If u did have a chance - that completely ruins it!! Such a turn off!! Do you sometimes feel stereotyped or treated negatively by men or other women because of your modeling? No. How often do you work out? Not nearly as much as I should!
Squats. I like the sore feeling in my legs afterwards. Is that weird? What do you like to do for fun? I read urban novels. The men (and some of the ladies) want to know! Are you married, single, or in a relationship? Well I am not married. LOL!!! What type of men (or women) do you try to avoid? I hate it when people are too into themselves......... that is one of my biggest turnoffs! Be confident, not arrogant. If you could go anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would you go and why? Home. I haven't been to North Carolina in forever..... I miss my family.
What type of
modeling do you enjoy the most (fashion photos, swimsuit, runway, sexy spreads, artistic layouts, theme shots, or other)?
Sexy spreads ... definitely, that's my niche. I have sex appeal naturally so I don't have to put forth as much effort... What do your fans say is your best feature? My eyes....they are tattooed on my back!! What advice would you give to the other models out there that are trying to make their dreams come true? Know who U are and how U want to be portrayed. Just because U are an urban model doesn't mean that U have to be in a g-string and topless!! U can be sexy without all that. Also, modeling is a stepping stone for other things - so have a plan!
