Ms. Jessica Lauren - tell us about how you got into modeling.

Well I started posting photos of myself online back in 2000. I got a lot of feedback so when I turned 18 I learned about working promos and such. From there I kept making connections and booking jobs.

Tell me about your modeling career - where might we have seen you before?

I have been featured on a lot of different websites. Some of which include 93x.com wwsmag and also savvy.com where I won the world wide is She Hot? contest back in Oct!

What was your first shoot like?

My first shoot was with a local photographer (Scott Quammen from Knoxville, TN) I was very inexperienced but I had a lot of fun and got some good shots with some direction. ;)

Who is your favorite photographer to work with?

I have had the chance to work with so many great photographers... I can't pick a favorite!

What was your first big break?

Last year one of my fellow contestants on savvy (now good friend Rabecca Lee) saw me and recommended me as the cover girl of Road Rash magazine out of Chattanooga, TN

What's it like living and growing up in Tennessee?

It's very quiet around here. Not too much trouble going on. I was able to have woods and creeks to play in when I was younger but yet I was out in the boonies when I got older and didn't want to have to drive miles to see town. Lol

Has anyone ever told you that you couldn't be a model?  If yes - what did they say was the reason you wouldn't make it.

Of course! There is always going to be someone that is going to be negative toward you. No matter what profession you pick. I've had people tell me I look strange my nose or my butt is too big. Lol

When did you realize that they were full of shit?

When I started making money!

Tell us about a time when you felt like giving up on modeling?

Truthfully ... I've never thought about giving up on modeling. It is not only a job to me but a passion.

You have a stylish and sexy portfolio covering lots of different locations.  Of all the cities you've visited for shoots, which one was your favorite and why?

I would have to say it's a toss up between D.C. and Atlanta.

It is rare to find a model confident enough to pose while pregnant.  What inspired or motivated you to agree to pose for this shoot?

 Truthfully... I am addicted to shooting! Lol No, the main reason I continued to pose is because of my highly supportive fan base. They all assured me that they loved seeing the new photos so I kept trying to create a great image!

Where are some of the places you've traveled that you would not want go to again and why?

When I was a kid we traveled a lot and there were tons of places that I vowed I never wanted to go again. I however don't remember where they were. Lol

Have you ever posed nude?  If not - would you ever consider it?  Why or why not?

No, I haven't posed nude. You won't be seeing me nakie in from of the camera - ever!  I believe that you should only model to your comfort level. With my morals my comfort level stops at implied. However I do not look down on other models that do pose nude.

If you had $10,000 to buy only clothes at just 3 stores, and you had only one day to do it, what are the names of 3 stores, where are they located, and what you would buy?

Oh my... wow... let's see. I actually like to buy my clothes and shoes online. I find it much easier to get something that is really me when I have the entire world to search over! :) I don't shop at any one site it's just whatever might pop up when I am looking for an item.

How do you feel about the stereotypes people have towards models?

I definitely think that people believe most models are stuck up and stuck on themselves. It is getting better though.

Do you sometimes feel stereotyped or treated negatively by men or other women because of your modeling?

There are some girls in my town that won't talk to me. At least they try not to talk to me and it kind of hurts since I am such a friendly person.

What is a normal day like for you?

When I'm not working I'm at home with the kids. Lots of fun going on in the house. We have fun turning up the radio and dancing around the living room.

How often do you work out?

I work out almost every day.

What do you like to do for fun?

A good book can definitely pass some time for me but I also like to go out clubbing and dancing.

Other than modeling, what other talents do you have?

Some may not know it but I can actually sing. It's rare you will hear me out in public singing but... you never know!

Tell us more about you - what would you like the world to know about you?

We've really covered a lot in the interview. (Great questions Irep!) I would like the world to know that no matter how strong I may seem and how much I try to keep a strong face, without the support of God, my family and friends/fans I couldn't have gotten where I am today. So for that - I would like to say thank you!

I see that you're married!  Congratulations!  Tell us about how you and your husband met.

This is really a funny story. Nov 06 I decided waitressing at a bar looked fun (it's not) so I got a job at a local bar. My husband was being a D.D. one night and it happened to be his birthday. His uncle tried to get me to go to the dj and embarrass him by getting them to call out his name and say happy birthday. He decided he would try to bride me not to tell the dj. Lol Nice!

After this night be just kept coming back to see me.

How did you know he was ‘The One'?

I knew he was the one when he kept coming back! He wouldn't leave me alone and he got my phone number when the jerk I was seeing upset me and we broke up. Lol I always tease him that he took advantage of me in my time of sorrow. :-P

Where do you work?

I am very happy to be a full time model and mom

Tell us about your children - what do you enjoy most about being a mom?

My favorite part about being a mother knows that I am forming a wonderful little human being that will one day change the world.

What is your ultimate goal for your modeling career?

My ultimate goal is to become a house hold name.

If you could go anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would you go and why?

I would go to Disney World. Lol I've never been! Everyone has to go. =)

What type of modeling do you enjoy the most (fashion photos, swimsuit, runway, sexy spreads, artistic layouts, theme shots, or other)

hmmm... I really love shooting crazy shoots - insane make up, weird outfits and impossible poses.

What was your most embarrassing moment as a model?

Uhmm well I was in the "sexy Santa helper" contest at a local club... I had these shoes on that were totally too high. The outfit I had on was a dress and had to get outside to tell someone good bye and I start truckin it across the dance floor. Just as I was almost home free this guy (who was a little drunk) comes up to give me a hug and tell me I did a good job and trips me! Oh my goodness butt up in the air with a thong on. How horrible. :-p

Have you ever had any "drama" with other models during auditions or appearances?  If so - tell us about it?

There have been a few times that I have been working promotions and other models have made me want to ring their necks but I figure I will probably not have to see them again so I don't make a big deal out of it. ;)

Has anyone ever asked you or tried to force you to do something crazy or wrong to land a modeling job?

Ah, not really.

You have a very long list of past modeling clients and website features.  What's your secret to continually finding work and landing shoots?

It's all about repeat business. Do a good job and the clients will rebook you. :)

What was you proudest moment as a model?

My proudest moment is always when a client thanks me for doing a good professional job.

My eyes

How does your family feel about your modeling career?

My husband and kids are very supportive and proud of me. My parents however have nothing to do with that side of my life expect for possibly the promotions and spokes modeling. They are very conservative Christians.

Who are your favorite famous models? What do you like about them?

Tyra Banks. She is so inspiring!

What is the most important thing in your life right now?

My family. Always.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how important is sex in a relationship?

10. I believe that it is something that no one else but you and your partner have to share with each other and no one else.

What is the sexiest thing about men?

Either their eyes, arm or abs.

What is the sexiest thing about women?

I think the little curve on the waist is super sexy.

What advice would you give to the other models out there that are trying to make their dreams come true?

My best advice to other models is... do not give up. No matter how many people reject you as long as you keep your attitude pure and positive you are a success!
