Can Ya'll Keep Up with Jenny Jones? She is five feet, seven inches of college-educated talent, beauty and fierce determination! This young lady works in the IT field, has just signed with Style Elite Modelling and Talent Agency, and is poised to take the world by storm!
Tell us about how you got into modeling. How old were you when this happened? When I was about 11 years old, I remember seeing Tyra Banks in Cover Girl commercials, magazine ads and on the Fresh Prince. She was an image of black beauty and intelligence, after seeing her knew that modeling and acting was something I wanted to do as well. (Tyra became my role model and my inspiration to succeed as a model and still is to this day.) So I begged my mom to get me into modeling and acting, so she enrolled me into John Casablanca Modeling Agency/Classes, and I started auditioning for plays at our local recreational center. When I was about 12 I participated in my first pageant, Miss Festival of Virginia, where I won 1st runner up. I accredit much of my poise and sophistication to my early determination and successes as a young girl, which in turn has helped me blossom into a humble, well-rounded, educated young woman.
What was your first shoot like? Wow, lol my first shoot was interesting, it was hard for me to really get into it because the photographer wanted me to wear these crazy wigs and the make-up was insane. So I took it upon myself to really research my photographer first, before scheduling a shoot. Who is your favorite photographer to work with? My first (photographer) love is Larry Dixon, in Raleigh North Carolina, he is so amazing, and he truly has a love for what he does, and it shows in his work, he has been in the game for years and takes the most beautiful pictures. He has an amazing fully equipped studio and he knows what he's doing! My latest love is Darryl B, in Hampton Virginia; he is another man who truly loves what he does! He is awesome! His pictures are always hot and he enjoys shooting me. In high school were you considered the ugly duckling or were you always beautiful?
Tell us about a time when you felt like giving up on modeling?
After
I graduated high school and entered college, I knew my primary focus had to be
on my studies. In school things didn't always come easy to me; I had to work
and study to make it happen. So, modeling was not my main focus, but I never
felt like giving up on it, I just put it on the back burner until I
graduated. And I am glad that I did, my
education is something that is really important to me. I think I am the full
package now, brains and beauty. How did you get through that tough period? It was tough because, that was during a time where I knew where I wanted to take my career and my life. Mass Communications and entertainment field was something I studied in college, and something I actually worked with. In one of my internships I was working with urban models and having to be someone behind the scenes was kind of bitter sweet because what I wanted was literally arm's reach way but realistically unattainable at that time in my life. Love v/s passion what's your stance or are they the same thing?
Sexually, do you prefer men, women, or both? Umm Hummm... Men. ;) Overall guys don't mind if a woman is bisexual (Especially if they can share!). Would you date a bisexual man? Why do you think the double standard? HELL NO! LOL!!! I could NEVER date a man, who would want to sleep with a man, and then turn around and want to sleep with me. That just doesn't make any since to me at all. And I don't get the two guys and a girl threesome thing either. There are too many men and women out there for these dudes to be sleeping with each other, and to sleep with the same girl at the same time. Call me crazy but I don't have a problem with bisexual women, because women are pretty and feminine, and sweet. That is the role we play in society. Men are supposed to be manly and aggressive and strong. Two men, to manly bisexual men just don't make since to me. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for gay, lesbian, transgender, and transsexual rights, and have good guy friends that are gay, but I just don't get the bisexual thing with men. I don't think its right.
Jennifer as a person is hilarious, carefree, innovative, and sweet. Those are strong words but they do describe me to a T. Beauty is definitely skin deep, one of my quotes that I live by is "The most beautiful women are those who excused their beauty from the inside out". I have met so many beautiful ugly girls; gorgeous on the outside with just the worst personality and most ugly nastiest cockneys about them. I hate that. Do you fall into the cliché - look good, but dumb as rocks. Absolutely not! I take great pride in calling myself a great package college educated and pretty cute at the same time. J Do you think men are intimated by your beauty? If so, why? Sometimes, but I think that it's kind of cute. I am a Libra and I can read people very well, so when guys are intimidated by me it shows in their eyes. So ill either go introduce myself or smile at them, because I am a regular person, by no means am I big headed or cocky. I'm just a bubbly, personable person. I think a lot of the time people associate pretty with being a bitch or stuck up. That is not me by any means. I'm too much of a real person to be big headed; I'm just Jenny from the block! When going to clubs or bars, do you buy your own drinks? Yea, when I go out I might buy myself and my girl a drink, but most of the time I don't come outta pocket. And if the guy is nice, I might even buy him a drink, I'm a pretty independent women, I don't mind picking up the tab every now and then
Never have. I'm not a heart breaker. Tell us about the last time you had your heart broken. My greatest heart break came from my best friend; to keep my personal life private ill sum it up and say he was dishonest and disloyal to me and It hurt me really bad but. It taught me to trust no one but all in all I've become a stronger woman because of it. And were still friends to this day. You have an amazing portfolio with lots or variety. Of all the pictures on your site, which ones did you enjoy taking the most? Humm, that's tough, but I think the type of photos I enjoy taking the most are the ones on the more commercial side, because I love my smile, and I love to smile. Commercial shots are also the simplest ones for me to take; I don't really have to think about looking commercial or being bubbly because that seems to come naturally. Don't get me wrong I love to do the sexy shots too, its fun to dress up and get my sexy on, but it's really easy to go from sexy to slutty real quick and I try to stay on the border line between the two. Of all the cities you've visited for shoots, which one was your favorite and why? I enjoyed shooting in Philly, I was able to shoot on top of a high-rise and the city skyline was in the background, it was really beautiful. I am scheduled to shoot on an island out in Florida next month; I'm really excited about that. Have you ever posed nude? If not - would you ever consider it? Why or why not?
If you had $10,000 to buy only clothes at just 3 stores, and you had only one day to do it, what are the names of 3 stores, where are they located, and what you would buy? If I had 10gs, and only three stores to spend it in, I would pick Neiman Marcus, (because they have everything I LOVE) forever 21, and Chanel. At Neiman Marcus I would buy some true religion jeans, some juicy sweat suits, all kinds of shoes of course, and a couple of purses. Forever 21 has great stuff for dirt cheap so I'd buy a lot of accessories, bras and panties, shirts, dresses jeans shirts and coats. And finally at Chanel id buy some shades I love Chanel shades, they look dope on me. Do you sometimes feel stereotyped or treated negatively by men or other women because of your modeling? No, because I have mapped out my modeling career, I know what my limits are. Every model should have limits. There is a big difference between sexy and slutty and sexy and that's were some models fall more on the slutty side because they have no limits. I always want to put myself in a positive light, I want to be able to show my family my work and for them to be proud of me. Some girls will do anything and anyone for the limelight, and they will take any kind of pictures because they think there sexy. What is a normal day like for you?
Um, I used to work out everyday I've been slacking but the body is still dope! What's your favorite exercise? Crunches!
What
do you like to do for fun?
I
love to go to the Washington Wizards Basketball games, they are my favorite
team, and I've been going to the games since I was about 11. Even thought they
haven't been doing it up like they should (due to so many injured players) yet
hopefully once Gilbert (my favorite player) gets back in the game we can turn
it out. I like playing the Wii, with my brothers I also enjoy going out to the
club, having a drink and mingling every now and then, I get to let loose with
my girls. I am also addicted to retail, I need rehab, and I shop way too much,
so I have to work hard so I can support my addiction. J Other than modeling, what other talents do you have? I am a natural actress, and I'm really good at impersonations.
I
work for a government contracting firm. My ultimate goal is to be the face of a popular product. Weather its shoes, clothing, make-up, lingerie, hair, beverages, etc. The men (and some of the ladies) want to know! Are you married, single, or in a relationship? I am very single. Tell us what type of man you are you looking for? I am looking for someone who is honest, protective, respectful, educated, hood smart, supportive, healthy, hard working, employed, goal oriented, strong, loyal, confident, attractive, and full of swag. What type of men do you try to avoid? I hate men that feel like they can impress me with their cash, when dudes try and pull out a wad of cash and count it and throw it on the ground and stuff, and tell me about everything he has, that's too much for me. I need a man who is self sufficient and doesn't have to carry around a stack of cash because he is smart enough to have a bank account, "G" enough that he doesn't have to be extra flashy, and has enough swag and personality to catch my attention. If you could go anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would you go and why?
What was your most embarrassing moment as a model? I have been fortunate enough that I haven't had any....yet. Have you ever had any "drama" with other models during auditions or appearances? If so - tell us about it? Nope, I avoid drama as much as I can.
What
was you proudest moment as a model? Signing with Style Elite, because I know they believe in my talent. What do you think is your best feature? My eyes and my smile, my eyes because they are very sexy and alluring, and my smile because it s big and white and natural. (No braces) What do others say is your best feature?
My
smile. How does your family feel about your modeling career? My family is supportive, my brothers and my mom don't want me to be too sexy, but my dad is a business man and he understands the art of the business.
Everybody that knows me knows that I love Tyra banks, but I also like Chanel Iman, and Jessica White. I love Tyra and am thankful for her because she is one of the many black women that paved the way for models like Chanel Iman, Jessica White, and other women of color. I adore Chanel and Jessica because they are both young smart models who are on the rise.
What
is the most important thing in your life right now? The most important thing in my life is my family, and my success. I want to succeed so I can give my family back what they gave me x1000!!! I want to give my family the world.
On
a scale of 1 to 10, how important is sex in a relationship? I would say a 10, a dude is always going to get his but you have to know what you're doing to please a women, either he knows what he's doing or not, it's all or nothing. Simple as that.
What
is the sexiest thing about men? Big, strong, tall bodies.
What
is the sexiest thing about women?
Our
bodies and our felinity! What advice would you give to the other models out there that are trying to make their dreams come true?
Stay
humble, be smart, set boundaries, be patient, trust no one!
