Kayvon - I know that modeling is soon to behind you - but tell us the story of how you got into it - and how you came to the realization that it wasn't for you.
Modeling actually was an amazing start for me.It gave me the opportunity to get out of NC and start my career.When I was young I was a chubby kid.When I reached my teens I started getting tall and my features started to change.From then on, local scouts and agents were approaching me to do jobs in the area and play small parts for Hallmark Network and Dawson's Creek.Then I started getting international attention to come out and model in Europe.So I grabbed the first opportunity. I had.Next thing I had a ticket and contract to work in London as a fashion model.I realized later that modeling was a career booster for me more so then a career.
What was your first shoot like?
Very natural.It was very easy to photograph for me.I remember it was a more commercial shoot.
Who is your favorite photographer to work with?
I really liked shooting with Bell Soto; he is great at shooting men for Editorial.
What was your first big break?

Did anyone ever tell you that you couldn't be a model or a musician?If yes - what did they say was the reason you wouldn't make it? Actually, my mom used to say there was a lot of competition.However everyone else seemed to believe in me.
Tell us about some of the cities you've performed in - which did you like and which did you hate?
I've been performing in the NYC underground scene and I love it.I think my next step will be London.
I love line 7 in your blog "High School" - where you say "You think Abercrombie is really fashion?"How did the "Supermodel Terrorist" create his unique style - what inspires your fashion creativity?
Lol, that blog is fun.Mix of a lot of things, I love Darkness.Anything Dark, sexy, seductive, mysterious with a hint of Intimidation attracts me.
Do you sometimes feel stereotyped or treated negatively by people because of your unique style?
Sure. But you can't win them all.
What advice would you share with others from you experiences with confronting such ignorance?
If you want to be in Show Biz, there will always be someone who hates you.But for every hater you have, there are a hundred who love you - and that is what keeps me motivated.
Let's talk about your music.You've been playing the piano for 15 years, and you also write your own music.What type of music do you like to write and perform and why?
I love electro/alternative.Anything that makes you want to dance and f*ck at the same time.
Tell us the story about the first time you sang in front of an audience.
I was actually very shy to sing growing up.The first time I sang in public was at my sisters b-day party.And that was Karaoke, lol.
Of the four songs you have on your website, my favorite is Slam!Tell our readers about what inspired you to make this song.
Slam is about all the BS in Hollywood, and the image that it portrays to youth.Young Hollywood isn't about talent anymore; it seems to be more about felonies than selling records.The song pokes fun at all these Lohans and Spears out there.
I like the song "Push" as well - it's a very sexy and funky track.Tell us more about it.
Push It is actually a remake of Salt N Peppa's Push it. The lyrics and the hook are the same, everything else is very Kayvon.That was my first break out track to the kids on the net.
Bust Up and Window are both excellent examples of your lyrical creativity.Which one of these songs was the most difficult to write and why?
Writing is like speaking for me, one of my greatest talents.It's never Hard!
What do you like to do for fun?
I love being in the studio.I used to be more about going out and dancing, but the art is what is fun to me.

Tell us about Kaige?How long has Kaige been in existence?
Haha, Kaige has had some recent drama lately.We have been a duo long enough, however, we are picking things back up.

How does your family feel about your career?
They are coming along.At first my family was concerned, but half of my family is doctors and all middle eastern.So the entertainment industry is something they kind of see as immoral and indignant.However, they are seeing I'm just as driven, not in the same way as them.But they know they raised me better.
How have they influenced your music?
Well I grew up dancing all the time and I was raised with Persian music.So that def. gave me something different to bring forth to the table.
What is the most important thing in your life right now?
Music.
What advice would you give to the other performers out there that are trying to make their dreams come true?
Keep at it, don't stop.You can be whoever you want to be.I feel people compromise their own potential.

I was born in Good Ol'e NC!So I'm actually a country boy at heart.

The beach and my family. I love my mom and sister, I would give my life them.
What's the coolest thing about living and being a performer in New York?
The fact you can be weird and be hot at the same time.
If living in New York is not for forever, where else in the world would you like to live and why?
London, I love the cosmopolitan life.
