This book takes you on a journey through my mind, heart, and soul. Poems that paint a picture and tell a story. Watch my inner most thoughts, desires and tribulations unravel in poetic form.

About the Author

I have been writing poetry and short stories since I was 11 years old. It has been my escape from everyday drama. Now it is an escape but also a release of everything I think and feel. I am the mother of 3 beautiful children. I have submitted poetry to www.poetry.com and have won the Editors Choice Award, I began to post my poetry online at www.NPGMC.com and had a thread entitled "Patti's Poetry Corner" and that did well for 2 years until Prince closed the website. My poetry and photos have also been featured on www.irepmag.com along with an interview. I also have a page at www.myspace.com/poeticdove where you can find my poetry, pictures, and find out a little more about me.

My life as a child was not easy but I struggled to overcome everything and anything and fought to look forward and push ahead. I work in the IT field, I take Martial Arts, I write my poetry, I'm a mom, and I love to cook. Just an average everyday woman. So take a look into my world and I hope you enjoy my "Intimate Sessions".

I Walk Alone

I walk this world with wondrous eyes

Trying to figure out the who's and whys

I show my compassion without a thought

But the answers are still intensely sought

I refrain from the drama day to day

Looking amongst people who prefer it that way

Still confused yet almost aware

Looking for a similar thought to share

But I......I walk alone

My muse is life and all that surrounds me

A place a tune something to grab me

I stare in to the eyes of plenty of strangers

Searching their souls for happiness and anger

I inject the thoughts and release my hand

I will write another even if it is in sand

Needless to say it will never end

My thoughts can not live without paper and pen

And through it all.....I walk alone

My thoughts my dreams my passions my fears

All written down for plenty of years

I have expressed me and will never regret

And if you understand you will never forget

The words that I have given to you

A piece of myself...untainted and true

My most intimate thoughts, visions and dreams

The hurt the pain the cries and screams

And through it all....I walked alone
