"Don't Label Me"
I'm not a fool
but everyday I pray for forgiveness
as I rage in resentment
for them replacing my innocence
listen....
what is, really isn't
a meaningful intention
I reminisce to exist
in what they failed to mention
I'm not a contradiction
because they misunderstood
intelligence from the hood
how can bad be good???
react as they should
on behalf of their books
white collard crooks
the systems got you shook
I'm not a thug if you would
but my gangsta's an art
Blessed for being street smart
text dressed to keep these streets marked
from the youth of where I start
to the truth they disregard
and to confuse who they are
I've made it this far
I'm not a rapper in these parts
but I'll spit a verse or two
list a verbal worth for you
front & backwards
my hurts reversible
I'm not a head for school
but an educated tool
with knowledge to abuse
from both worlds I get to choose
my cake & eat it too
I sponge & then I fuse
from illusional falsitudes
delusional awkward moves
I'm not ancient for what I use
but I'm wise beyond my years
my nerve is feared
thru the words that I share....yea
the hurts still there
a curse for me to bare
& for what it's worth for me to care
my thirst'll take it there
I'm not what your mental has impaired
but the vision is me
my mission to release
and exhale to breathe
to reach capacities
it's more than what you think
and it's more than what I speak
the silence is on repeat
so, read into me with a feens ability
to let it loose enables me
to refuse their views
don't label me!
