So let's talk about the crew - how and when did you guys pull together?
We been team since shorty'z but we officially linked in the studio together in 2001
We rode as solo katz until 07 when we formed as soldiers of fortune...
Well I tell you - I've listened to tracks on both your pages, and both you cats are fierce wit it man!Who are some of your musical influences?
of course Trag, CNN, Mobb Deep, Wu Tang, V12, Gang-Starr, Nas, E-Money Baggs, Mega, Killa Arms, Motown, what Eva makes me feel ill...ya digg!!L.Q
That track "All I Want is You" reminds me of the golden era of hip hop.I can feel all those cats you mentioned in that song.Tell me how you guys pulled that track together?

A soldiers dream
So that song is for the real queens out there.You guys bring a lot of the originality to the game that's we don't hear much of anymore.Is that what you mean by "Real Hip Hop is not played on the radio?"
Yes, we most definitely think the game and industry needs to step it up in the originality department. The game is watered down, or plastic you could say. We just bring chunks of reality, and in most cases at the current moment the radio would not be interested in reality! Everybody is saying strange hooks and thingz that don’t make any sense. That's how we feel anywayz!!
There are so many inspirations to "Grabbing Hands", especially Depeshe Mode - they got sum tight production and music. The video was a quick promo to let people know what's coming on the Secret Society mixtape.Also, it was a salute to Depeshe Mode, the inspiration from those katz, they have rocked sum serious crowds my G.
So let me ask you - why not be like everybody else?You guys have the skills and talent to do the radio-styled stuff that everybody else does today - but what made you decide NOT to go that route?
The music we grew up on, the older katz who helped make us soldierz, also just being real to ourselves! Our music is all natural, meaning it just comes when it does. Nothing is forced. It is what it is, sum songs might be more underground than others, but its all just us and how we do and feel in this life we live in...
So of all the Soldier Of Fortune tracks, which one means the most to you guys personally?
We like 'em all on the same level compared to new material comin' out.For example, the Street Album, The Shorty Mizztape, and of course the debut album Blood Tears n Sweat.....thingz is crazyyyy in da lab...I cant even speak on the other projects yet, crazzyyyyyy is all we can say...
Wow!I can't wait to hear it when it comes out!So I guess the LQ Exclusives is just a little taste of what's coming?

Sin City most def different from the rest of Canada though. We are considered to be a more Americanized part of Canada cuz we a border city With Detroit... big ups to The Wisemen!
